Are plastic cages really that bad for teddy bear hamsters?
I'm about to get a lil hammie and i really want to get a plastic cage for her/him but everyone says they get trapped in the tubes but this one only has one tube do you think it would be ok to use?
They seem all right when you're in the store buying a young hamster, but they're not really satisfactory once they grow up. Full-grown hamsters aren't comfortable going through the tubes, the only available wheels are too small for them, and the door latches are notoriously easy for a hamster to pop open.
