How do you remove hair color pigment when it colors too dark?
Can you add a few details? Is it dark brown or black? Black is very difficult to tone down but the browns are a bit easier, this happened to me in my "experimental phase"!
The best thing to do is make the dye fade out if it is close to the color you want just a little too dark.
I searched and found some sites for you. But what I always did was wash it with a stripping shampoo and it lightened it considerably, sometimes though I'd end up with orange highlights. I have naturally dark brown hair and now all I do is streak it in the summer then dye it my natural color again in the winter.
