I'm 16 - How should I go about job hunting?
I just want a Saturday job to give me a bit of extra cash. How should I go about doing this? Should I walk down the high road and try places? What places would be more likely to employ a 16 year old?
Try mall stores. Walk in, ask for an application, be friendly, and dress appropriately. You can also check online sites, such as monster, hot jobs, and craigslist for jobs. Cashier, server, lawn maintenance, and cleaning jobs are usually open to teenagers. You could also mow lawns, babysit, wash cars, etc for individual people and leave flyers at neighbors' houses, letting them know the services you offer. Many places will be hesitant about hiring somebody who can work Saturdays only. You could try Starbucks, as well. Good luck, and I hope I've helped!
