How to plug in a fiber optic cable?
How do I plug in the fiber optic cable to my tv and home theater system? I know where the port is but when I plug it in, it doesn't seem to really go in, it just kind of sits there. I am afraid to push it in harder because I dont want to break the tv or home theater. Can someone please tell me if it's supposed to be pushed in all the way or just in the little bit that it is at right now. Thanks
The pointy part of the cable often has a little rubber tip which you should remove to expose the fiber.
The back end of the plug is what actually snaps into place to hold the connector. There is often a square side to the plug and a round side so look for this an line the cable and plug up correctly. It should connect with a soft snap.
